Bank account and Tax ID

During your studies in Hungary, you’ll need to have a hungarian bank account, as it is required by the university. However, having an account in Hungary has it’s upsides. You can pay easily, withdraw cash and transfer money to other hungarian accounts without fees.

If you wish to work, you’ll also have to get a tax ID. This ID will be used by the authorities to tax your payment, thus you have to have one for employment.
